What is systems integration?
Systems integration is the work of connecting separate business applications so they share data automatically and reliably. When a deal closes in your CRM, the customer appears in accounting, a project is created in your operations tool, and the team is notified. Nobody exports a spreadsheet or retypes an address.
Signs you need integration, not another app
- Your team copies the same information into two or three systems.
- Reports disagree depending on which tool they come from.
- Customer history is scattered across inboxes, spreadsheets and apps.
- You have added software to solve problems, but the work got slower.
- AI projects stall because the data they need is locked in disconnected tools.
What can you integrate?
Most modern business software can be connected through an API, a native connector or a scheduled export. We commonly integrate:
- CRMs: HubSpot, Salesforce, GoHighLevel, Pipedrive and Zoho
- Accounting: QuickBooks Online, Xero and payment processors
- Productivity: Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
- Operations: scheduling, project management, field-service, inventory and e-commerce platforms
- AI: language models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google, connected safely to your business data
How we approach integration projects
We start by deciding which system owns which data, because most integration problems are really "two systems both think they are the source of truth" problems. Then we choose the most maintainable method: native integrations first, automation platforms such as Zapier, Make or n8n second, and custom API development when volume, security or complexity calls for it. Every integration is documented, monitored and handed over with clear ownership.
Why integration comes before AI
AI is only as good as the data it can reach. Connecting your systems is often the step that turns AI from a novelty into something that saves real hours, because the assistant can finally see the customer record, the invoice and the project status in one place.
